The Energy Co-op is a sustainability-focused 501(c)(12) consumer cooperative providing renewable electricity, renewable natural gas, and heating oil services to thousands of households and small businesses in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Northern Delaware. As a member-owned cooperative, our customers are our owners.

Position Description:

The Energy Co-op is seeking a Energy Program Analyst to support our renewable electricity and heating oil programs. This person will have the chance to learn about the energy industry from the ground up and will report to the Electricity Program Director. If you are data driven and interested in learning about renewable energy and sustainability this is a great chance to get experience in a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Create spreadsheets and models in Excel
  • Data analysis, collection and organization
  • Operational support for our renewable electricity and heating oil programs
  • Synthesize diverse information to develop and recommend strategies
  • Process validation, development and documentation
  • Market research, development and analysis to expand product offerings

Qualifications and Skills

  • Hands-on experience with data analysis tools and extraction tools
  • Experience with retail energy markets
  • Willingness to work with large volumes of data from multiple data sources, perform analysis on results and use data to derive conclusions
  • Ability to perform ad-hoc analysis, bringing independent thought leadership and value-added insights and judgment
  • Strong attention to detail and highly reliable
  • Willingness to dig into a problem and quickly understand complex systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preference for business, engineering, math, computer science, or economics
  • Strong analytical reasoning and problem solving skills
  • Outstanding written communication and organizational skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Hours, Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time, overtime-exempt position. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and the position will remain available until filled. Salary is in the $40k’s, contingent upon experience.
