SUMMARY:Network with the Primes at the School District of Philadelphia
DESCRIPTION:The School District of Philadelphia will be hosting an information session and networking event\, ‘NETWORK WITH THE PRIMES AT THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PHILADELPHIA’\, in partnership with the City of Philadelphia Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week. This event will give businesses an opportunity to learn more about the array of potential direct and indirect construction-related contracting opportunities at the School District. There will be an introduction to how the Office of Capital Programs and Office of Facilities & Maintenance utilizes various vendors\, as well as an overview of the requirements to be a vendor\, an overview of the bidding process and how to respond to construction-related opportunities\, and how contract diversity inclusion goals are important in this sector. Following the presentation will be networking and Q&A with the Office of Capital Programs and Office of Facilities & Maintenance teams. \n\nThis event is targeted towards vendors that provide direct and/or indirect construction and facilities services (construction management\, electrical\, plumbing\, mechanical\, painting\, waste management\, general cleaning\, etc.) and/or provide related supporting services (architectural & engineering\, environmental services\, maintenance & repair\, supplies\, etc.). \nFor existing Prime Contractors\, you will have the chance to learn how to expand your business potential and network with the diverse vendor community for sub-contracting opportunities. \nFor new and interested vendors\, you will gain insight into the bidding process and connect with Prime Contractors to provide supportive services within their scope as available.  \n\nAny firms interested in attending this networking event\, please bring copies of your capabilities statements that highlight some of the following – your core competencies\, past performance/projects\, unique techniques or approaches that are part of your business (if applicable)\, diversity certifications (if any)\, and your contact information/company data. \n\nFor detailed information regarding any current open construction and related opportunities\, please visit the Sealed Bid Schedule: https://www.philasd.org/procurement/ \nNOTE: ALL ATTENDEES MUST SHOW A VALID ID UPON ENTERING THE BUILDING.
