Mondre Energy, Inc. (MEI), a Pennsylvania corporation, is a highly specialized, independent energy consulting practice founded in early 1998 to assist public and private organizations plan and implement initiatives to procure electricity and natural gas, manage energy costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

MEI is seeking to fill multiple Energy Engineer/Analyst positions. Successful candidates must demonstrate a record of achievement and professional growth in energy management, energy procurement or facility planning and operations. Commitment to further develop subject matter expertise in energy management, project planning, operations analysis and/or energy markets must be demonstrated. The ability to multitask and adjust to shifting priorities are essential.

Experience evaluating the technical and financial performance of energy efficiency measures such as HVAC and lighting systems and distributed energy projects employing solar photovoltaic, combined heat & power and/or energy storage technologies is required. Computer modeling and data analysis experience is also required. Effectiveness conducting onsite surveys and engaging operating and maintenance personnel in commercial or industrial settings must also be demonstrated.

Skill Set: Strong quantitative, analytic and problem solving skills in a project/task driven environment. Strong written and verbal skills are essential for preparing reports, conducting secondary research and communicating objectives, methods, findings and recommendations. Candidate shall be a careful observer, have demonstrated ability to conduct oneself professionally and courteously. Strong problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to adapt to unplanned circumstances in the field are a strong plus.

Educational Requirements and Certifications: Candidates should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering. A master’s degree in finance or economics is a plus. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the design, operation and/or maintenance of commercial and/or industrial facilities is required. PE, CEM and LEED credentials are highly desirable.
