UGI Corporation is embarking on several transformational initiatives to better support our strategic goals around growth, efficiency, process improvement, better leveraging talent and improving capabilities within the support functions of the UGI family of companies. We are opening this exciting opportunity for a manager to serve as the change lead for these initiatives, partnering closely with functional leads and human resources to develop the enterprise change strategy and methodology, project-specific change management plans, with an emphasis on executive and stakeholder engagement and coaching, communications, change impact assessments, transition management, ensuring successful adoption and providing transparency to the outcomes against the benefits case. Strong supplier management capability is critical in this role as the Change Manager will be largely supported by external partners and will therefore be responsible for driving maximum value out of our third party contracts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop UGI change management strategy and methodology for enterprise transformational projects, bringing experience and industry best practices to tailor approach for UGI needs
  • Manage the change portfolio and ensure consistency across transformational initiatives
  • Provide direct support and coaching to executives, managers, and staff to help them through transitions
  • Participate in change management vendor selection and manage vendors to drive best outcomes for UGI
  • Serve as internal change lead and advocate for the business on assigned strategic projects:
    • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities, using a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative
    • Support communication efforts, including the design, development, delivery and management of communications
    • Assess the change impact, including conducting impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders
    • Support training efforts, including providing input, documented requirements and supporting the design and delivery of training programs
    • Complete change management assessments
    • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics
    • Identify and manage anticipated resistance
    • Consult and coach project teams
    • Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan
    • Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities
    • Evaluate and ensure user readiness
    • Manage stakeholders
    • Track and report issues
    • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress, outcomes and opportunities for continuous improvement

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Change Management certification
  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in Change Management.
  • Experience focused on enterprise level transformations, preferably in the Change Lead role through the a full cycle of organizational transformation including successful adoption
  • Strong relationship management skills with a proven track record, including C-suite and senior executives
  • Leadership skills including negotiation, conflict management skills, influencing skills, ability to give and receive positive and constructive feedback
  • Experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
    talent for managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

Preferred Experiences include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, communications, industrial and organizational development/psychology, or a related discipline; advanced degree is a plus
  • Experience with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Experience with organizational design, organizational development, learning solutions and/or talent strategies
  • Business process modeling/mapping, particularly in the Procurement, IT and HR functions
