Job Description

The Project Manager: LEED Specialist is an integral part of our business. This mid-level position will demonstrate and enforce our core values.  Using your project management experience, you will lead client initiatives and ensure proactive communication leading our LEED and sustainable buildings projects. Working alongside a talented technical team, you will help them enhance their performance by promoting collaboration and innovation. Working under the direct supervision of a Sr. Project Manager and/or Vice President Operations, you will be part of a high-performing, high-energy team, delivering a variety of consulting services to our client partners.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide support, technical expertise, direction, and leadership to our client partners in the execution of LEED projects and other sustainable buildings and operations projects.

  • Proven track record in project management for completing projects on-time and on budget.

  • Ensure client satisfaction by effectively communicating project goals and status updates.

  • Maintain existing client partnerships, while building and growing new partnerships.

  • Manage, mentor, and train junior staff members.

  • Identify and establish new internal processes where applicable.

  • Identify project risks early and recommend corrective actions to improve performance.

  • Deliver and exceed defined company scorecard metrics.

  • Conduct site visits for information gathering purposes, as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in: Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management or Engineering

  • Minimum of 2 years of LEED project management experience

  • LEED AP is required

  • LEED O+M or BD+O preferred

  • Understanding of building operations and systems for new and existing buildings and experience with LEED Certification

  • Adaptability, resourcefulness, and the ability apply knowledge to varying business situations is required

  • Experience and advanced proficiency in Excel

  • Accomplished in preparation of proposal, contracts, and technical reports

  • Possess a positive, adaptable, and solution-oriented attitude

  • Availability to travel up to 25% of time

  • 2 or more years’ experience in LEED project management and building systems and operations

  • 2 or more years’ experience in team leadership and/or mentoring junior staff members

  • Experience with AutoCAD; and Revit is a plus

  • Knowledge of the following areas are a plus: Construction Management or Architecture; Energy Modeling, ASHRAE, ENERGY STAR
