The 9th Annual SEI Energy Briefing

Attend this highly anticipated annual event to hear from leaders in the energy field. Presentations will provide a review of current and future energy trends as well as an insider’s overview of the 2021-2022 energy forecast on both the national and regional fronts. Speakers will share their perspectives on the expectations of strong investments into renewable energy and Green House Gas Reductions. Attendees will learn more about RGGI, CO-GEN to achieve greater energy resiliency, and the benefits of Solar PV.

Presenters:

Allen Landis (Exec Dir. of PA Energy Development Authority; PA DEP) will update attendees on the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), the Nation’s first multi-state program to reduce power sector CO2 emissions while generating state revenue to support public and private sector investments in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy within the region.

Chuck Miller (Sr. Director Energy Solutions; Pennoni Associates) will share Pennoni’s approach to MicroGrids and its ability to deliver site operational and energy resiliency. Industrial manufacturing, data centers, and other critical operation centers require continuous, non-interruptible power. Learn about Pennoni’s approach to how onsite Co-Gen / MicroGrids with battery storage can deliver continuous energy resources to critical operations.

Micah Gold-Markel (Founder; Solar States) – Philadelphia based installer of Residential, Commercial Solar, Powerwall and Educator; Certified B Corp, Best For The World 2018, 2019, 2020 Honoree) will speak on the state of the local solar industry and how Solar States helps Philadelphia’s green economy through its investments in diversity, free education while helping Philadelphians invest in renewable energy through the use of Federal Tax Credits, Solarize Philadelphia, SRECs.

Jeff Byers (Sr. Efficiency Program Manager, PECO) – Jeff has been in the energy efficiency industry since 2010. As the Commercial & Industrial program manager for the PECO Smart Business Solutions program, his primary responsibilities include managing and assisting in the development, delivery and success of the PECO PA Act 129 Energy efficiency program. These duties include regular interaction with the evaluation team, work with the marketing team, monitoring, tracking, and providing the necessary program coordination with, contracted CSP’s, PECO customers, PECO account management and multiple utility departments, ensuring energy savings are achieved on time and within budget as required by PA Act 129.
