Built to Last

Changing what’s possible. One household at a time.

Program Overview

Built to Last stabilizes Philadelphians’ most valuable possession. We help homeowners remain in the homes they’ve built their lives in.

Today’s housing challenges require integrated solutions. Though Philadelphia has an abundant supply of affordable housing, the combination of entrenched poverty, rising costs, and aging buildings make ownership increasingly difficult to sustain.

Targeting households who are systematically underserved, we collaborate among partners to make homes safer, healthier, and more affordable to maintain. Built to Last is pioneering a holistic model of whole-home repairs.

Built to Last coordinates repair programs, health interventions, and energy upgrades.
