Solar Day for a Sustainable Philadelphia

Join the Philadelphia Energy Authority (PEA) and the Solar Training Network (The Solar Foundation) Friday, August 17th for Solar Day for a Sustainable Philadelphia. Solar Day will be mini-solar conference with breakout sessions to highlight the City’s investments in solar energy. This event will also be a closing celebration for PEA’s third cohort of high school students who have completed the Find Your Power Clean Energy Program.

This event is FREE, but please register by August 15th.

EVENT AGENDA

9:00 -10:30 opening remarks and a keynote address by Frank Stewart

10:30- 12:00: Workshop sessions (choose one to attend; these will be happenning concurrently):

  • Solarize Philly: Info Session for Homeowners
  • Joining the Solar Workforce: Philadelphia Solar Jobs & Career Pathways
  • Open for Solar Business: A Permitting and Interconnection Workshop for Installers

12:00-1:00: Reconvene for remarks and insights from public officials, industry leaders, and community leaders, followed by a closing ceremony for the “Find Your Power” high school clean energy training program
