Gaurav Mehta, Board Member

Gaurav Mehta is Executive Director of Transmission at Peregrine Energy Solutions, where he leads the development and execution of utility-scale energy storage and transmission infrastructure projects across the United States. He specializes in wholesale electricity markets, grid planning, large-load energy strategy, and clean energy infrastructure, working closely with utilities, regional transmission organizations, policymakers, and hyperscale data center customers to advance reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy solutions.

As a member of the Philadelphia Energy Authority Board, Gaurav is committed to expanding equitable access to clean energy, strengthening grid resilience, and supporting policies that foster sustainable economic development and innovation throughout Philadelphia. He provides strategic guidance on energy policy, grid modernization, and the growing intersection of clean energy and data center development, helping position Philadelphia as a national leader in the clean energy economy.

An active leader in the energy industry, Gaurav has negotiated and delivered complex infrastructure and power supply transactions, collaborated with utilities, regulators, and public stakeholders across multiple regional markets, and advised on energy strategies supporting the rapid growth of digital infrastructure. Prior to joining Peregrine Energy Solutions, he held engineering and leadership roles focused on power systems, transmission planning, and renewable energy development.

Gaurav holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Strategy from Villanova University, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College.
