Job Description

Solar States is looking for an experienced Solar Commercial Electrician to join our fast growing team! We are currently looking for an experienced Solar Commercial Electrician with 5 years electrical experience and 4 years of hands-on experience in the solar field based in Philadelphia. This position will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar energy systems in commercial environments. Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead solar panel installations, ensuring precision and compliance with industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Mentor junior team members, sharing your expertise and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks and tests to ensure safe and efficient system operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to address technical challenges and find innovative solutions.
  • Taking photos, documenting job site, and posting photos to PM software
  • OSHA 30 qualifications (required).
  • Manage & maintain cleanliness and organization of your crews vehicle and the company warehouse
  • Ensuring safety of entire crew and double-checking of all site safety equipment
  • Valid driver’s license

Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in electrical work.
  • Valid electrician’s license or certification as required by local regulations.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in solar panel installation and commercial electrical work.
  • Proven expertise in solar system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong ability to interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency in using testing equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers.
  • Leadership skills to guide and mentor junior team members effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with colleagues, clients, and supervisors.
  • Physical fitness and comfort working at heights, in varying weather conditions, and confined spaces.
  • Dedication to safety practices and maintaining a tidy and organized work environment.
  • Electrical: 5 years (Required)

  • NABCEP certification
  • Proficient with computers
  • Construction: 5 years
  • Supervisory: 4 years
  • Solar: 4 years
