DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and administering major elements of the PA Energy Development Authority’s (PEDA) Solar for All initiative, which targets low and moderate-income households. You will work in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and contractors to ensure the program is implemented effectively. Your role will also involve supporting various federal and state clean energy initiatives, including Solar for Schools and grants associated with the bipartisan infrastructure law, while contributing to the design and execution of financing programs for energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Additionally, you will assist in formulating and implementing strategies to meet Pennsylvania’s energy efficiency and renewable energy goals, in alignment with the strategic plans of DEP and PEDA. This will involve designing and coordinating clean energy financing programs to maximize funding opportunities from agencies such as the EPA and DOE. While the Solar for All program will be a primary focus, the role will also require collaboration with DEP’s Office of Environmental Justice to develop outreach initiatives that provide technical assistance to Environmental Justice communities, facilitating the implementation of solar projects that improve public health and safety, particularly in the context of climate change and greenhouse gas emissions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- This position will require travel as needed.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the closest headquarters office.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of professional experience in energy resources, energy utilization and conservation, energy technologies, or the economic impacts of energy issues, and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or Energy Policy; or
- Three years of professional experience in energy resources, energy utilization and conservation, energy technologies, or the economic impacts of energy issues and a bachelor’s degree; or
- A master’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or Energy Policy; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
