A redevelopment in Philadelphia is host to Pennsylvania’s first multi-tenant commercial solar project. The SONO property was developed by Alliance HSP in 2019 and houses the Yards Brewery, a Target, and the Philadelphia City Archives. The Philadelphia Energy Authority provided technical assistance to support Alliance in their pursuit of a rooftop solar installation on the building. Attendees will learn about the layering of resources and innovative structure that made the project possible. The installation, visible from I-95, is a new landmark in the burgeoning solar market of Philadelphia.
